Shoebox notice for All Saints’ Rhiwbina

As they have done for the last few years, All Saints’ Rhiwbina’s Sunday Club are planning to fill some shoeboxes this month for Operation Christmas Child, run by Samaritan’s Purse. The boxes go to needy children in orphanages, refugee camps, etc, and give huge delight to those who receive them.

Because of Covid-19, we have to be imaginative in collecting for the boxes this year.  If anyone would like to fill a box, either alone or with friends or family, please give Rosamond Evans a call on 07967 753605 and get a flat-packed box from her, together with a label for your box and information about what is needed.  Alternatively, Rev’d Peter would be happy to deliver a box to anyone who needs one.

Gifts of items to put in the boxes and donations of money to go towards buying missing items or shipping costs are also very welcome.  Please put cash or cheque donations in an envelope marked SHOEBOX APPEAL in the collection plates at the entrance and exit of the church.

The church will be open on the morning of Saturday, 31st October from 9 a.m. to 12.00 midday, to collect completed shoeboxes and any donations.  The boxes will then be filled and prepared for drop-off during the week beginning 9th November.

A very big thank you in advance from ASR Sunday Club.
