Messy St Thomas’s! ‘Jesus, the Good Shepherd’

Published on 28th September, 2017

Assistant Curate Jonathon writes:

We had great fun at Messy Church at St Thomas’s on Saturday!

Our theme was Jesus’s saying “I am the Good Shepherd” and our activities centred around thinking about what it means for Jesus to be our shepherd.

Our activities included:

  • making sheep biscuits;
  • painting a banner and adding our own sheep to it;
  • making a sheep pen/fold;
  • decorating our names to remind ourselves that God knows each one of us by name;
  • making woollen pompoms;
  • illustrating Psalm 23: ‘ The Lord is my Shepherd.’

Our afternoon included worship and singing, and a messy meal.

Thanks to all those people who came,  and all those people who helped run the activities!

The next St Thomas’s Messy Church will be on

Saturday 9 December, 2-4pm.
