Llandaff Diocesan Conference: your responses to Lockdown invitedPublished on 2nd September, 2020
Annual Llandaff Diocesan Conference
Kathryn Lawley writes:
I am your representative at the annual Diocesan Conference. I have recently had an email to say that the Conference will still go ahead this year but in a totally different format from usual because of the impact of the COVID pandemic.
Instead of everyone meeting at a venue in the diocese, the Conference will now be conducted as two Zoom meetings, one on Thursday 24th September, and the second on second on Saturday 26th September.
This year the Conference will be discussing various themes. In preparation for this, all the representatives have been asked to consult with their Benefice PCC and congregations about our experiences of lockdown, and take a summary of our responses to the Conference.
The questions are :
· What have we learned during lockdown?
· How has the Holy Spirit moved in you and your church ?
· What stories of celebration can we share?
These themes will then be explored by those representatives attending who will spend part of the conference time in virtual ‘ breakout ’ groups, each group having a facilitator and note-taker. Points raised will be reported back briefly to the Conference, and subsequently in full to the Standing Committee and the Senior Leadership Team.
It would help me greatly, therefore, if you could consider the above questions and let me know your response by email ( email@example.com ) or post ( Kathryn Lawley.13, Heol Wen, Rhiwbina, CF14 6EG). It would be wonderful if you could respond by Monday 20th September. Or, if you would like to speak to me, please ring me on 07795253369. Thank you for any help and response that you can provide.
