Cardiff Foodbank – are you able to make a monetary donation?

Published on 4th April, 2020

Under the current lockdown régime in place for us and our  church buildings,
official guidelines suggest that, during our weekly shopping expeditions.
we place any donations of food we can make
in the Foodbank collection bins located in local supermarkets.

This doesn’t help those of us who are being ‘shielded’,
or who are vulnerable because we have ‘underlying chronic health conditions’
are aged 70+, or who are pregnant, *
or
who are ‘self-isolating’ , or are in quarantine.

* Many of us probably fall into two of those categories,
but it seems highly unlikely that anyone  fulfils all three!

To be serious:

We are, however, acutely aware of the dreadful plight of the extra thousands of our fellow citizens who now need to rely on food parcels.
The Foodbank website gives details of a number of ways in which we can
make monetary donations.

Yesterday I emailed the Cardiff Foodbank administrator to ask whether
on-line  donations were possible,
and, if so, could she please give me the Foodbank account details.

For those of you who, like me, do online banking,
here are those details which I have permission to publicise here:

Account name: CARDIFF FOODBANK*
Sort code: 089299
Account number: 65559020

As a Benefice your generosity in donating food items has been
heart-warming and often overwhelming.

It would be wonderful if you could continue to support the Foodbank
NOW when the need to do so is greater than ever.

Thank you, and God bless.
