On Sunday 11th May, the choir of St Peter’s Church, Peterston-super-Ely, one of the finest parish choirs around, will visit St Mary’s to sing a full Choral Evensong.
Music to include:

Magnificat & Nunc Dimitis: Walmisley in D minor
Anthem: “O Thou, the central Orb” – Wood
Preces & Responses: Martin Neary
and plenty of hymns!

Full Choral Evensong is the cornerstone of the great British Cathedral tradition, and is a truly inspiring and peaceful service.

Peterston Church Choir was formed by Lindsay Gray (then Headmaster of Llandaff Cathedral School) in 1999. Lindsay left in 2007 to become director of the Royal School of Church Music. Peter Wagstaff, our own organist in St Mary’s, took over in September 2013 (balancing duties with St Mary’s) – it is Peter who will be conducting the choir on Sunday.
Join us at 18:00 in St Mary’s for this lovely evening.

As a church service, entry is, of course, free.
